My Story
Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Originally from Maryland, I was drawn to South Carolina to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the College of Charleston. I later earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve supported a wide range of families through my work as a nanny—an experience that deepened my understanding of family dynamics and the everyday challenges people face. That work continues to inform my passion for helping individuals and couples, especially those navigating early adulthood and parenthood.
As a marriage and family therapist, I’m trained to think systemically—seeing each person within the context of their relationships, communities, and environment. I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we’ll work toward the goals and outcomes that matter most to you.
Who my services are best for
I work with couples and individuals interested in a collaborative approach. My clients know their stories, and through our time together, we can uncover dominant narratives and relational patterns. I specialize in couples navigating parenthood, who seek additional support to improve and adjust communication patterns. In our individual sessions, we can explore themes of anxiety and depression, as well as navigate conflicts within interpersonal relationships.
